Bonjour. Béziers, in the heart of the Languedoc, Bonjour. Béziers, in the heart of the Languedoc, is one of the oldest French cities (with Marseille) with a rich history and culture and enough scenic sights to please the most discriminating visitor. Few people would have bet on Béziers over a decade ago when her new mayor, Robert Ménard, was elected. Influential yet controversial, Ménard is now in his third term and by all counts the city center has been transformed. Béziers is back and one of the most attractive cities in southern France. From its mighty cathedral to the quaint streets of the old district, the recently overhauled covered food market, its most elegant promenade, les allées Paul Riquet, Béziers surprises and charms at every turn. Bonjour. How about joining me on tour in the Loi Bonjour. How about joining me on tour in the Loire Valley in April 2027? I’ve recently teamed up with “Adventures with Sarah” a Seattle-based boutique travel agency and fellow tour guides Sarah Murdoch (the company’s founder) and Nina Seffusatti (a dear friend of mine based in Avignon) to create and run an exclusive 12-day itinerary, “Savoring France.” This small-group tour is scheduled from April 13-25, 2027 and will introduce visitors to the diversity of French regions, from the Loire Valley (I’ll be leading the first section of the trip) to Lyon, the French capital of gastronomy (with Sarah) then down to colorful Marseille and Provence (with Nina.) This is a small group tour and space is limited. I already offer in-person French Immersion workshops in the Loire Valley and am excited at this opportunity to design and lead a tour in the magical region I call home.
